Serious side effects
Along with its needed effects, bismuth subcitrate potassium/metronidazole/tetracycline may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

- Belching
- chills
- cough
- darkened urine
- diarrhea
- fever
- general feeling of discomfort or illness
- headache
- heartburn
- indigestion
- joint pain
- loss of appetite
- muscle aches and pains
- nausea
- pains in the stomach, side, or abdomen, possibly radiating to the back
- runny nose
- shivering
- sore or dry throat
- stomach discomfort, upset, or pain

- unsteadiness or awkwardness
- weakness in the arms, hands, legs, or feet
- white patches in the mouth or throat or on the tongue

Some side effects of bismuth subcitrate potassium / metronidazole / tetracycline may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine.
