Serious side effects of Crotan

Along with its needed effects, crotamiton topical (the active ingredient contained in Crotan) may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

• Skin irritation or rash not present before use of this medicine

Dermatologic

Uncommon (0.1% to 1%): Pruritus

Rare (less than 0.1%): Contact dermatitis^[Ref]

Hypersensitivity

Rare (less than 0.1%): Hypersensitivity reactions (e.g., rash, eczema, erythema, skin irritation, angioedema)^[Ref]
