Usual Adult Dose for Vaccination
One dose of 2 tablets (1 of Adenovirus Type 4 and 1 of Adenovirus Type 7), orally
Comments:
- Tablets should be swallowed whole, without chewing, to avoid releasing the virus in the upper respiratory tract.
- Postpone for vomiting and/or diarrhea; vaccine effectiveness depends upon viral multiplication within the intestinal tract.
Use: Active immunization for the prevention of febrile acute respiratory disease caused by Adenovirus Type 4 and Type 7, in military populations 17 through 50 years of age.

Storage requirements:
- Refrigerate; do not freeze
- Keep bottle tightly closed
- Protect from moisture; do not remove desiccant canister from bottle
Patient advice:
- Adenovirus is shed in the stool for 28 days following vaccination and can cause disease if transmitted.
- To minimize transmission risk, observe proper personal hygiene, such as frequent hand washing, especially after bowel movements.
- Use caution when in contact with children under 7 years old, immunocompromised people (e.g. people with HIV or cancer), and pregnant women for 28 days after vaccination.
- Women should avoid becoming pregnant for at least 6 weeks after vaccination to prevent fetal exposure to the virus.
