Precautions
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
- Severe hypersensitivity (e.g. anaphylaxis) to any of the ingredients
- Encephalopathy (e.g. coma, decreased consciousness, prolonged seizures) of unknown etiology within 7 days of a pertussis-containing vaccine
- Boostrix-IPV(R): Progressive neurologic disorder (including infantile spasms, uncontrolled epilepsy, or progressive encephalopathy) until treatment has been established and the condition stabilized
Safety and efficacy have not been established in patients younger than 4 or older than 7 years; this drug is not recommended for use in these patients.
