Usual Adult Dose for Tinea Corporis

Topical cream: Apply sufficient amount to cover affected areas once a day.
Duration of therapy: 2 weeks

Comments:

• Most patients have early symptom relief and clinical improvement may be seen fairly soon after start of therapy; tinea cruris and corporis should be treated for 2 weeks to reduce possible recurrence.
• If no clinical improvement after the treatment period, diagnosis should be reconsidered.
• Clinical and mycological clearing of tinea versicolor usually seen after 2 weeks of therapy.

Duration of therapy: 2 weeks

CONTRAINDICATIONS:

• Topical Cream: Hypersensitivity to the active component or any of the ingredients
• Topical Foam: None

Safety and efficacy of the topical cream and foam have not been established in patients younger than 18 and 12 years, respectively.

Storage requirements:

• Store at controlled room temperature 20C to 25C (68F to 77F)
• Topical foam: Excursions permitted to 15C to 30C (59F to 86F); do not refrigerate or freeze; do not expose container to heat and/or store at temperatures above 49C (120F), even if empty; do not store in direct sunlight.

Patient advice:

• Stop using this drug if reaction suggestive of chemical irritation or sensitivity develops.
• Read the US FDA-approved patient labeling (Patient Information) for the topical foam.
• Wash hands after applying the topical foam; avoid contact with the eyes, mouth, and vagina.
• Avoid heat, flame, and smoking during and immediately after application of the topical foam.
