Inject the contents of one prefilled syringe intraarticularly into the knee once a week for 3 to 4 weeks

Use: For the treatment of pain in osteoarthritis (OA) of the knee in patients who have failed to respond adequately to conservative nonpharmacologic therapy and to simple analgesics (e.g., acetaminophen)

Precautions

CONTRAINDICATIONS:

• Hypersensitivity to the active component or any of the ingredients
• Hypersensitivity to gram positive bacterial proteins
• Do not inject in the knees of patients with infections or skin diseases near the injection site or joint

Administration advice:

• Strict aseptic injection technique should be used during the application of this drug.
• Remove joint effusion, if present, before injecting this drug.
• The prefilled syringe is for a single use only.

• Store in original package at room temperature (below 77F/25C).
• Do not freeze.

• Transient pain or swelling may occur after the injection.
• Avoid strenuous activity or prolonged weight-bearing activities such as funning or tennis within 48 hours following the injection.
• Pain relief may not be seen until after the third injection.
