Usual Adult Dose for Sucrase-Isomaltase Deficiency
Up to 15 kg: 1 mL (8500 international units) OR 1 full measuring scoop OR 28 drops orally per meal or snack
Over 15 kg: 2 mL (17,000 international units) OR 2 full measuring scoops OR 56 drops orally per meal or snack
Comment: Half the dose should be administered at beginning of meal or snack and the remainder during the meal or snack.
Use: Oral replacement therapy of genetically determined sucrase deficiency in patients with congenital sucrase-isomaltase deficiency (CSID)

Precautions
CONTRAINDICATIONS: Hypersensitivity to the active component, yeast, yeast products, glycerin (glycerol), papain, or to any of the ingredients
Safety and efficacy have not been established in patients younger than 5 months.

Administration advice:
- Rinse the measuring scoop with water after each use.
- Do not add to warm or hot liquids; patients should not heat solutions containing this drug.
- Do not reconstitute or consume with fruit juice.
- This drug is fully soluble with infant formula, milk, and water.
Storage requirements:
- Discard 4 weeks after opening due to the potential for bacterial growth.
- Store in a refrigerator at 2C to 8C (36F to 46F).
General:
- This drug is sensitive to heat.
- This drug may contain small amounts of papain, which could result in allergic reactions.
Patient advice:
- Advise patients to speak to their healthcare provider if they become pregnant, intend to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding.
- Patients should be instructed to seek medical attention in the event of a hypersensitivity reaction.
