Usual Adult Dose for Tinea Corporis
Apply to the affected area once or twice a day for 2 to 4 weeks.
Usual Adult Dose for Tinea Cruris
Apply to the affected area once or twice a day for 2 to 4 weeks.
Usual Adult Dose for Tinea Pedis
Apply to the affected area once or twice a day for 2 to 4 weeks.
Usual Adult Dose for Tinea Versicolor
Apply to the affected area once or twice a day for 2 to 4 weeks.

Topical treatment may be extended to 4 to 6 weeks if treating areas of skin that have thickened.
Precautions
The cream is not recommended for the treatment of nail or scalp infections.
Tolnaftate topical therapy should be discontinued if patient experiences irritation or sensitization.
If symptoms do not improve after 10 days of continuous use, a different therapy may be warranted.
Tolnaftate topical preparations should not come in contact with the eyes.
Inhalation of the powder aerosol should be avoided; it can be harmful or fatal.
Safety and effectiveness have not been established in pediatric patients less than 2 years of age.
