Usual Adult Dose for Acne
Apply a thin layer to the affected areas once a day (in the evening) on clean and dry skin.
Comments:
- One pump actuation should be enough to cover the face (i.e., forehead, cheeks, nose, chin).
- Two actuations of the pump should be enough to cover the upper trunk (i.e., reachable upper back, shoulders, chest); if needed, use 1 additional pump actuation for acne on the middle and lower back.
- Moisturizer should be used as often as needed from the start of therapy.
Use: For the topical treatment of acne vulgaris

Administration advice:
- Prime pump for the first time by pressing down several times until a small amount of medicine is dispensed.
- For topical use only; not for oral, ophthalmic, or intravaginal use.
- Avoid contact with the eyes, lips, paranasal creases, mucous membranes.
Storage requirements:
- Store at 20C to 25C (68F to 77F); excursions permitted to 15C to 30C (59F to 86F).
- Keep away from heat.
Patient advice:
- Read the US FDA-approved patient labeling (Patient Information).
- Cleanse the area to be treated and pat dry; apply a thin layer to the face, avoiding the eyes, lips, nasolabial folds, and mucous membranes; may also apply a thin layer to the chest, shoulders, and back.
- Do not apply to damaged skin (e.g., cuts, abrasions), eczematous areas, and sunburned skin.
- Reduce the risk of skin irritation: Use a moisturizer from the start of therapy; if appropriate, reduce the frequency of application or suspend use temporarily.
- Minimize exposure to sunlight (including sunlamps, phototherapy devices); use sunscreen products and protective apparel (e.g., hat) over treated areas when sun exposure cannot be avoided.
- Avoid concurrent use of other potentially irritating topical products (medicated or not).
- While breastfeeding: Use on the smallest area of skin for the shortest duration possible; do not apply this drug directly to nipple and areola (to avoid direct infant exposure).
- If the drug enters the eye, wash immediately and abundantly with lukewarm water.
