• Take orally with or without food
• Take as soon as possible and not more than 120 hours after unprotected intercourse or a known or suspected contraceptive failure
• If vomiting occurs within 3 hours, consideration should be given to taking another tablet

• Protect from light and moisture. Keep drug in the blister card inside the original box until use.

• Contact your doctor immediately if you vomit within 3 hours of taking one tablet of the drug. Your doctor may prescribe another dose of the drug for you.
• This drug reduces your chances of becoming pregnant if your birth control fails or you have unprotected sex. It does not protect you against HIV/AIDS or other sexually transmitted diseases. Talk to your doctor about methods for sexually transmitted disease prevention that are right for you.
• Do not use this drug while breastfeeding. If you want to breastfeed after taking this drug, wait one week and express and discard your breast milk during that week in order to stimulate lactation.
• Do not take this drug if you are already pregnant or think you are pregnant. This drug is not for use to end an existing pregnancy.
• Do not use this drug more than one time in the same menstrual cycle.
• This drug should only be used for a single episode of unprotected sex. It should not be used as your regular birth control. Talk to your doctor about other forms of birth control that are right for you.
• This drug may make your regular hormonal birth control method less effective. After using this drug, you should use a reliable non-hormonal barrier method of contraception such as a condom with spermicide during any other times that you have sex in that same menstrual cycle.
• Talk to your doctor if you have a body mass index (BMI) greater than 30 kg/m2. This drug may be less effective in women with this BMI.
• If you have severe lower abdominal pain about 3 to 5 weeks after taking this drug, contact your doctor right away or go to the nearest emergency room as you may have an ectopic pregnancy. An ectopic pregnancy is a pregnancy outside the womb. It is a serious condition that needs immediate medical treatment.
• After taking this drug, you may have your next menstrual period a few days earlier or later than expected. If your period is more than 7 days later than expected, you should get a pregnancy test and follow up with your doctor.
• This drug can interact with several drugs and herbal products. Tell your doctor about all the medications you take, including prescription and over-the-counter drugs, vitamins, dietary and herbal supplements.
• Do not eat grapefruit or drink grapefruit juice during treatment.
• This drug may cause side effects including but not limited to headache, nausea, abdominal pain, menstrual pain, tiredness, and dizziness. Tell your doctor if you have any side effect that bothers you or does not go away
