What is Carnitor Sf?
Levocarnitine is used to treat carnitine deficiency.

Warnings
Ask a doctor or pharmacist if this medicine is safe to use if you have ever had:
- seizures or epilepsy;
- if you use a blood thinner (such as warfarin) and you have routine "INR" or prothrombin time tests; or
- kidney disease (or if you are on dialysis).
Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Do not give this medicine to a child without medical advice.
How should I use Carnitor Sf
Use Carnitor Sf (Oral) exactly as directed on the label, or as prescribed by your doctor. Do not use in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.
Follow all directions on your prescription label and read all medication guides or instruction sheets. Use the medicine exactly as directed.
Levocarnitine injection is injected into a vein by a healthcare provider.
Levocarnitine oral is taken by mouth. Your pharmacist can provide more information about how to take this medicine.
Measure liquid medicine with the supplied measuring device (not a kitchen spoon).
The liquid medicine can be taken alone or mixed with a beverage or soft food. Sip or eat the mixture slowly.
Levocarnitine should be taken evenly spaced. This medicine works best if you take it with a meal or after a meal.
Your blood will be tested before and during treatment with levocarnitine. Your blood pressure and other vital signs will also need to be checked often.
Store at room temperature away from moisture, heat, and light.
Use the medicine as soon as you can, but skip the missed dose if it is almost time for your next dose. Do not use two doses at one time.
Carnitor Sf side effects
Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction: hives, difficult breathing, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Call your doctor at once if you have:
- a seizure.
Common side effects may include:
- stomach pain;
- nausea, vomiting; or
- diarrhea.
