What is Genteal mild?
There are many brands and forms of ocular lubricant available and not all are listed on this leaflet.
GenTeal Mild is used in adults to relieve burning, irritation, and discomfort caused by dry eyes.
GenTeal Mild may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
Warnings
You should not use an GenTeal Mild to treat or prevent an eye infection.
How should I take Genteal mild
Follow all directions on your prescription label and read all medication guides or instruction sheets. Use the medicine exactly as directed.
Wash your hands before using GenTeal Mild.
Do not use GenTeal Mild and call your pharmacist if the medicine looks cloudy or has changed color.
Do not touch the tip of the eye dropper or ointment tube or place it directly on your eye. A contaminated tip can infect your eye, which could lead to serious vision problems.
Call your doctor if your symptoms do not improve, or if they get worse while using GenTeal Mild.
Store at room temperature away from moisture and heat.

You should not use an GenTeal Mild if you are allergic to it. This medicine will not treat or prevent an eye infection.
Ask a doctor or pharmacist if it is safe for you to use GenTeal Mild if you have any type of infection in your eye.
Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
What happens if I miss a dose?
GenTeal Mild is used when needed. If you are on a dosing schedule, skip any missed dose. Do not use two doses at one time.
What happens if I overdose?
An overdose of ocular lubricant is not expected to be dangerous. Seek emergency medical attention or call the Poison Help line at 1-800-222-1222 if anyone has accidentally swallowed the medication.
What should I avoid while using Genteal mild?
GenTeal Mild may cause blurred vision. Avoid driving or hazardous activity until you know how this medicine will affect you.
Do not use other eye medications unless your doctor tells you to.
Genteal mild side effects
Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficult breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Stop using GenTeal Mild and call your doctor if you have:

severe burning, stinging, or eye irritation after using the medicine;

eye pain; or
-
vision changes.
Common side effects of GenTeal Mild may include:

itching or redness of your eyes;

watery eyes;

blurred vision; or

sensitivity to light.
