What is Norgesic Forte?
Aspirin, caffeine, and orphenadrine is a combination medicine that is used together with rest and physical therapy to treat painful muscular conditions.
Aspirin, caffeine, and orphenadrine may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
Warnings
You should not use this medicine if you are allergic to aspirin, caffeine, or orphenadrine, or if you have:
- glaucoma;
- a blockage in your digestive tract (stomach or intestines);
- a bladder obstruction or other urination problems;
- an enlarged prostate;
- myasthenia gravis; or
- problems with the muscles in your esophagus (the tube that connects your mouth and stomach).
Tell your doctor if you have ever had:
- a stomach ulcer; or
- a bleeding or blood clotting disorder.
Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Do not give this medicine to anyone with a fever, flu symptoms, or chickenpox. Aspirin can cause Reye's syndrome, a serious and sometimes fatal condition.
Aspirin, caffeine, and orphenadrine is not approved for use by anyone younger than 12 years old.
How should I use Norgesic Forte
Use Norgesic Forte (Aspirin, Caffeine, And Orphenadrine) exactly as directed on the label, or as prescribed by your doctor. Do not use in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.
Follow all directions on your prescription label and read all medication guides or instruction sheets. Use the medicine exactly as directed.
Call your doctor if your symptoms do not improve, or if they get worse.
If you use this medicine long-term, you may need frequent medical tests.
Store at room temperature away from moisture and heat.
Take the medicine as soon as you can, but skip the missed dose if it is almost time for your next dose. Do not take two doses at one time.
Norgesic Forte side effects
Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficult breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Call your doctor at once if you have:
- confusion, anxiety;
- fast or pounding heartbeats, fluttering in your chest;
- tremors;
- little or no urination;
- eye pain, vision problems; or
- a light-headed feeling, like you might pass out.
Common side effects may include:
- dry mouth;
- blurred vision;
- dizziness, drowsiness, weakness;
- headache; or
- nausea, vomiting, constipation.
