What is Novoseven rt with mixpro (injection)?
NovoSeven RT with MixPro is a man-made protein similar to a natural protein in the body that helps the blood to clot.
NovoSeven RT with MixPro is used to treat or prevent bleeding in people with hemophilia A or hemophilia B, or factor VII deficiency.
NovoSeven RT with MixPro may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
Warnings
If possible before you receive NovoSeven RT with MixPro, tell your doctor about all your medical conditions and allergies. Also make sure your doctor knows if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
Call your doctor at once if you have sudden numbness or weakness, sudden cough or headache, pain or swelling in one or both legs, chest pain, or problems with vision, speech, or balance.
How should I use Novoseven rt with mixpro (injection)
NovoSeven RT with MixPro is injected into a vein through an IV. A healthcare provider will give you this injection.
You may need frequent medical tests to help your doctor determine how long to treat you with NovoSeven RT with MixPro.
Wear a medical alert tag or carry an ID card stating that you have a bleeding disorder in case of emergency. Any medical care provider who treats you should know that you are using NovoSeven RT with MixPro.
Before Taking
You should not receive NovoSeven RT with MixPro if you are allergic to it.
If possible before you receive NovoSeven RT with MixPro, tell your doctor if you have:

coronary artery disease (hardening of the arteries);
-
a history of stroke or heart attack;
-
a severe injury or infection;
-
liver disease; or
-
if you are allergic to mouse, hamster, or cow proteins.
In an emergency situation it may not be possible to tell your caregivers about your health conditions. Make sure any doctor caring for you afterward knows you have received NovoSeven RT with MixPro.
It is not known whether this medicine will harm an unborn baby. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant.
It is not known whether coagulation factor VIIa passes into breast milk or if it could harm a nursing baby. You should not breast-feed while receiving this medicine.
In an emergency situation it may not be possible to tell your caregivers if you are pregnant or breast feeding. Make sure any doctor caring for your pregnancy or your baby knows you have received this medication.

Because you will receive NovoSeven RT with MixPro in a clinical setting, you are not likely to miss a dose.

What should I avoid while using Novoseven rt with mixpro (injection)?
Follow your doctor's instructions about any restrictions on food, beverages, or activity.
Novoseven rt with mixpro (injection) side effects
Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficult breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
NovoSeven RT with MixPro may cause serious side effects. Call your doctor at once if you have:

sudden numbness or weakness, especially on one side of the body;
-
sudden severe headache, confusion, problems with vision, speech, or balance;
-
chest pain, sudden cough, wheezing, rapid breathing, coughing up blood;
-
pain, swelling, warmth, or redness in one or both legs;
-
fever;
-
little or no urinating;
-
a feeling that you might pass out; or
-
any bleeding that will not stop.
Common side effects of NovoSeven RT with MixPro may include:

mild headache;
-
joint pain;
-
nausea, vomiting;
-
swelling;
-
mild itching or rash; or
-
pain, redness, swelling, or irritation where the medicine was injected.
