What is Ultralytic 2 (topical)?
Ultralytic 2 (for the skin) is a combination medicine that is used to treat rough or scaly skin and soften cracked skin or calluses.
Ultralytic 2 may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
Warnings
Follow all directions on your medicine label and package. Tell each of your healthcare providers about all your medical conditions, allergies, and all medicines you use.
How should I use Ultralytic 2 (topical)
Use exactly as directed on the label, or as prescribed by your doctor.
Do not take by mouth. Topical medicine is for use only on the skin.
Apply only a thin film to the affected skin. For best results, apply this medicine right after a bath or shower, while your skin is still damp. You may cover the treated skin with a bandage or gauze.
Store at room temperature away from moisture and heat. Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use.
Before Taking
You should not use Ultralytic 2 if you have ever had an allergic reaction to ammonium lactate or urea.
Ask a doctor or pharmacist if this medicine is safe to use if you have ever had an allergy to food, medicine, dyes, or preservatives.
Ask a doctor before using this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
What happens if I miss a dose?
Apply the medicine as soon as you can, but skip the missed dose if it is almost time for your next dose. Do not apply two doses at one time.

What should I avoid while using Ultralytic 2 (topical)?
Avoid using Ultralytic 2 on open wounds or burns, or on skin that is sensitive, irritated, or infected.
Avoid getting the medicine in your eyes, nose, mouth, or on your lips. If this does happen, rinse with water.
Avoid using other medications on the areas you treat with Ultralytic 2, unless your doctor tells you to.
Ultralytic 2 (topical) side effects
Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficult breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Less serious side effects may include:
