Can I take Tylenol while taking indomethacin and can these drugs be alternated every 3 hours?

Answers by TheMediTary.Com - Last updated: 13-Jul-2023

Yes, you can take Tylenol while taking indomethacin. As long as you do not exceed the recommended daily doses you can safely alternate the medicines, or take together for added pain relief.

The usual dose of indomethacin for pain in adults is 20mg 3 times a day or 40mg 2 to three times a day.

The usual adult dose of Tylenol for pain is 325mg to 1 g every 4 to 6 hours with a maximum dose of 4g per 24 hours.
