Does Imitrex cancel Roxicodone?

Posted on 13-Jul-2023 - Last updated: 13-Jul-2023

Let me first start off by saying I appreciate help but please keep answers to my question. This will help me not go down rabbit trails, I am challenged by a few disabilities and so to stay on on track, I greatly appreciate this.
Okay I also would like to add I am an outlier patient where I flush meds especially pain meds very fast(my body metabolizes them very quickly) I fall into the 3% of ppl that this happens with, so if there are others who experience this, that would be of big help. I also do not get high or feel any "euphoric" feelings from pain meds. So I'm not sure if this tidbit of info will help as well.
So, I have noticed that when I take an Imitrex for a sudden onset migraine and then when I go to take my scheduled Roxicodone, I notice that the Roxi doesn't work the same way.
So because I flush painkillers my body actually goes into physical withdrawal about an hour before scheduled dose(I am not addicted but physiologically my body is, this does happen) and what I have noticed when I take the scheduled Roxi is that it feels like it's working only 50% meaning it will take away the uncomfortable symptoms of the w/drawl but I'll feel the pain that I take the painkiller for(fibromyalgia, Sjogrens, spinal stenosis, degenerative disk disease, CMS, chronic pain and more). This is my first time being back on pain meds and migraine meds at same time. And I was wondering if anyone else who is on pain meds and migraine meds more specifically Imitrex (sumatriptan), if it interferes? What would be of big big help and please note, I judge NO ONE, but if someone who doesn't get high/feel euphoria from pain meds could answer back on this because that makes a very big difference IMO. I'm not chasing a feeling, I'm literally wondering if anyone else experiences this and if I am gonna have to get rid of the Imitrex. Thank you so very much.
