I've been on 20 mg Lexapro for about 16 years now. I have bad anxiety that started 16 years ago. I also take Buspar, gabapentin, and Klonopin. I still have anxiety sometimes. Sometimes I wonder if Lexapro is doing anything. I've thought about slowly stopping it but not sure. My psychiatrist is mainly a pill guy. If I mention it to him, he'll say OK you can stop taking it and he'll stop my prescription. He doesn't realize how hard it is to get off medications I guess because he's never had to do it. Just asking for opinions, not anyone telling me to "ask my Dr." Thanks.
