crave a cup of coffee when I wake up in the morning. I also really dislike waking up and drinking a glass of water. Are we supposed to take Fosamax upon awaking to be certain that we have an empty stomach? What if I have coffee and breakfast and then not eat or drink for at least seven hours. Then take the Fosamax late in the afternoon with a glass of water, wait 30 minutes, and then have dinner. Is there a reason other than an empty stomach that requires us to take the med upon awaking? If taking it the way I'm suggesting is OK, am I able to drink water during the day? Thanks for any advice you can give me.
