How is anastrozole taken?
- In an adult, anastrozole (Arimidex) is taken by mouth as one oral tablet once a day. It is supplied as a 1 mg tablet.
- It can be taken with or without food.
- This medicine is usually continued until your breast cancer progresses, you have intolerable side effects, or your doctor decides to discontinue the medication for other reasons.
