Antithrombin recombinant has been assigned to pregnancy category C by the FDA. Animal studies have failed to reveal evidence of embryofetotoxicity. There are no controlled data in human pregnancy. Antithrombin recombinant is only recommended for use during pregnancy when benefit outweighs risk.
