Tenuate Pregnancy Warnings
Animal studies have not revealed any evidence of harm to the fetus or fertility impairment. Spontaneous reports of congenital malformations in humans have been recorded, but no causal relationship to this drug has been established. There are no controlled data in human pregnancy.
US FDA pregnancy category B: Animal reproduction studies have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women.
This drug should be used during pregnancy only if clearly needed.

Comments: Abuse of this drug during pregnancy may result in withdrawal symptoms in the neonate.
