Evithrom Pregnancy Warnings
Thrombin topical has been assigned to pregnancy category C by the FDA. Animal studies to evaluate the potential reproductive/developmental toxicity of thrombin topical have not been performed due to the human origin of thrombin. There are no controlled data in human pregnancy. Thrombin topical should only be given during pregnancy when benefits outweigh risks.
