Serious side effects of Rolapitant
Along with its needed effects, rolapitant may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.
Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur while taking rolapitant:
More common
- Black, tarry stools
- chills
- cough
- difficult, burning, or painful urination
- fever
- lower back or side pain
- pale skin
- sore throat
- trouble breathing
- ulcers, sores, or white spots in the mouth
- unusual bleeding or bruising
- unusual tiredness or weakness
Less common
- Bladder pain
- bloody or cloudy urine
- frequent urge to urinate
Other side effects of Rolapitant
Some side effects of rolapitant may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects.

The most commonly reported side effects included decreased appetite, neutropenia, dizziness, and hiccups.[Ref]
Gastrointestinal
Common (1% to 10%): Abdominal pain, constipation, dyspepsia, stomatitis
Uncommon (0.1% to 1%): Abdominal distention, diarrhea, nausea, oral fungal infection
Rare (less than 0.1%): Abdominal discomfort, bowel habit change, dry mouth, gastroesophageal reflux disease, oral candidiasis, retching[Ref]
Nervous system
Common (1% to 10%): Dizziness, headache
Uncommon (0.1% to 1%): Disturbance in attention, dysgeusia, somnolence
Rare (less than 0.1%): Balance disorder, movement disorder, syncope[Ref]
Hematologic
Common (1% to 10%): Anemia, neutropenia
Rare (less than 0.1%): Decreased neutrophil count, increased international normalized ratio (INR), leukopenia, thrombocytopenia[Ref]
Metabolic
