Along with its needed effects, silodosin may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

- Chills
- cold sweats
- confusion
- dizziness
- dizziness, faintness, or lightheadedness when getting up suddenly from a lying or sitting position

- Clay-colored stools
- dark urine
- fever
- headache
- hives, itching, rash
- loss of appetite
- nausea
- pinpoint red or purple spots on the skin
- skin blisters
- stomach pain
- unpleasant breath odor
- unusual tiredness or weakness
- vomiting of blood
- yellow eyes or skin
