Anti NMDA receptor encephalitis is a neuroautoimmune disease arising from an autoimmune reaction to a subunit of the NMDA receptor. The disorder starts with flu-like symptoms which later progresses to psychotic and/or seizure phase. Ataxia and choreiform movements may also be present.
