Initial dose: Atenolol 50 mg-Chlorthalidone 25 mg orally once a day
Maintenance dose: Atenolol 50 to 100 mg-Chlorthalidone 25 mg orally once a day
Use: Treatment of hypertension if the fixed dose combination represents an appropriate dose for the individual patient.
Renal Dose Adjustments
CrCl greater than 35 mL/min/1.73 m2: No adjustment recommended
CrCl 15 to 35 mL/min/1.73 m2: Maximum dose: Atenolol 50 mg daily
CrCl less than 15 mL/min/1.73 m2: Maximum dose: Atenolol 50 mg every other day
If progressive renal impairment becomes evident: Discontinue this drug
