Drug Class: Urinary antispasmodics
Usual Adult Dose for Urinary Incontinence
Initial dose: 7.5 mg orally once a day
Maintenance dose: The dosage may be increased to 15 mg orally once a day as early as 2 weeks after starting therapy
Comments:
- This drug may be taken with or without food.
- The tablet should be swallowed whole with water and not chewed, divided, or crushed.
Use: For the treatment of overactive bladder with symptoms of urge urinary incontinence, urgency, and frequency

Renal Dose Adjustments
No adjustment recommended.
Liver Dose Adjustments
Mild hepatic impairment (Child Pugh A): No adjustment recommended.
Moderate hepatic impairment (Child Pugh B): Do exceed 7.5 mg daily.
Severe hepatic impairment (Child Pugh C): Not recommended.
Dose Adjustments
Do not exceed 7.5 mg daily when coadministered with potent CYP450 3A4 inhibitors (e.g., ketoconazole, itraconazole, miconazole, nefazodone ritonavir).
Precautions
Safety and efficacy have not been established in patients younger than 18 years.
