Usual Adult Dose for Intraocular Hypertension
Instill 1 drop in the conjunctival sac of the affected eye(s) once a day in the evening
Use: For the reduction of intraocular pressure in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension

Comments:
- Use in patients 16 years and younger is not recommended due to potential safety concerns related to increased pigmentation following long-term chronic use.

Administration advice:
- Do not administer more than once a day as it has been shown that more frequent administration of prostaglandin analogs may lessen the intraocular pressure lowering effect.
- If used concomitantly with other topical ophthalmic drug products to lower intraocular pressure, administer each drug at least 5 minutes apart.
Storage requirements:
- Unopened bottles: Refrigerate at 2C to 8C (36F to 46F).
- Opened bottles: May be stored at 2C to 25C (36F to 77F) for 8 weeks
- During shipment, bottles may be maintained at temperatures up to 40C (104F) for a period not exceeding 14 days.
- Protect from light and freezing.
Patient advice:
- Brown pigmentation of the iris can occur which may be permanent; eyelid skin may also darken, however, this is usually reversible following discontinuation.
- Changes in the eyelashes and vellus hair may occur, including a disparity between eyes in length, thickness, pigmentation, number of eyelashes or vellus hairs, and/or direction of eyelash growth; eyelash changes are usually reversible upon discontinuation.
- Contact lenses should be removed prior to administration and may be reinserted 15 minutes following administration.
- If a new ocular condition (e.g., trauma or infection) develops, a sudden decrease in visual acuity, ocular surgery, or you develop any ocular reactions, particularly conjunctivitis and eyelid reactions, immediately seek your physician's advice concerning continued use.
- Avoid allowing the tip of the dispensing container to come into contact with the eye, surrounding structures, fingers, or any other surface in order to avoid contamination of the solution by common bacteria known to cause ocular infections; serious damage to the eye and subsequent loss of vision may result from using contaminated solutions.
