Applies to hyoscyamine / phenyltoloxamine: oral capsule.
You should not use this medicine if you have severe ulcerative colitis, or if you are unable to urinate.
Before you take hyoscyamine and phenyltoloxamine, tell your doctor if you have glaucoma, asthma, heart disease, high blood pressure, coronary artery disease, or a thyroid disorder.
Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficult breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Stop using hyoscyamine and phenyltoloxamine and call your doctor at once if you have:

pounding heartbeats or fluttering in your chest;

severe stomach cramps or constipation;
-
little or no urination;
-
confusion, memory problems, slurred speech;
-
diarrhea; or
-
problems with balance or muscle movement.
Side effects such as dry mouth, constipation, and confusion may be more likely in older adults.
Common side effects may include:

dizziness, drowsiness;
-
constipation;
-
decreased sweating, decreased urination;
-
dry mouth;
-
blurred vision; or
-
impotence, loss of interest in sex, or trouble having an orgasm.
