Entyvio (vedolizumab) is administered through a needle, which is inserted into a vein in your arm. This is called an intravenous infusion. Patients receiving Entyvio will need to sit with the needle in their arm for 30 minutes while the infusion is delivered.

To receive Entyvio, you will visit a healthcare provider, who will administer the infusion. It is important that a medical professional administers the infusion and monitors you during and after to ensure that any adverse reactions are properly handled.

Adults with Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis will receive 300 mg of Entyvio in each infusion. The second and third doses are typically given two and six weeks after the first dose. After the third dose, patients will return for subsequent infusions every eight weeks.

Improvements are typically seen within 14 weeks of starting treatment with Entyvio.
