What's the normal daily dose of amoxicillin 500mg for chest infections?

Answers by TheMediTary.Com - Last updated: 14-Jul-2023

The recommended dose of amoxicillin for a moderate chest infection in a normal healthy adult is 500mg every 8 hours (or three times a day) or 875 mg every 12 hours.

Amoxicillin is a type of penicillin antibiotic that fights bacteria. It is used to treat many different types of infection caused by bacteria, such as tonsillitis, bronchitis, pneumonia, gonorrhea, and infections of the ear, nose, throat, skin, or urinary tract.
