Mavyret should be taken with food because it helps your body to absorb the medication better.
Mavyret is used for the treatment of hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection and contains a fixed dose of two drugs called glecaprevir and pibrentasvir. Mavyret is available as a tablet and oral pellets.
The mean systemic exposure to glecaprevir is increased 83-163 percent when Mavyret tablets are taken with food and 131-167 percent when Mavyret oral pellets are taken with food, compared with the mean systemic exposures seen when the drug is taken in a fasting state without a low/moderate to high fat meal.
The mean systemic exposure to pibrentasvir is increased 40-53 percent when Mavyret tablets are taken with food and 56-114 percent when Mavyret oral pellets are taken with food, compared with the mean systemic exposures seen when the drug is taken in a fasting state without a low/moderate to high fat meal.
