-An animal developmental toxicity study of administration of a single human dose prior to mating and during gestation revealed no evidence of harm to the fetus.
Animal studies of developmental toxicity had female animals given an intramuscular injection of 0.5 mL (the single human dose) of this vaccine twice prior to mating (17 day and 4 days prior to mating) and twice during gestation (gestation days 10 and 24); no adverse effects on pre-weaning development were observed and there were no vaccine-related fetal malformations or variations.
