Discontinue trandolapril as soon as possible if the patient becomes pregnant, as drugs that target the renin-angiotensin system can cause injury and death to the developing fetus.

- unusual tiredness or weakness
- vomiting
- weakness or heaviness of the legs
Less common
- Chest pain or discomfort
- cool, sweaty skin
- difficulty with speaking
- double vision
- inability to move the arms, legs, or facial muscles

- numbness and tingling around the mouth
- seizures
- slow heartbeat
