Temporomandibular Joint Disorder (TMJ) is pain and swelling of the jaw joints. TMJ is usually caused by teeth grinding and tight jaw muscles due to stress. TMJ may also be caused by injury to the jaw, poorly fitting dentures, and arthritis.
