Tudorza Pressair Side Effects

Applies to aclidinium: inhalation aerosol powder.

Serious side effects of Tudorza Pressair

Along with its needed effects, aclidinium (the active ingredient contained in Tudorza Pressair) may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur while taking aclidinium:

More common

  • Fever
  • headache
  • muscle aches
  • sore throat
  • stuffy or runny nose
  • unusual tiredness or weakness

Less common

  • Bladder pain
  • bloody or cloudy urine
  • body aches or pain
  • chest pain
  • chills
  • cough
  • difficult, burning, or painful urination
  • difficulty in breathing
  • dry throat
  • ear congestion
  • fainting
  • fast, pounding, or irregular heartbeat or pulse
  • frequent urge to urinate
  • hoarseness
  • loss of voice
  • lower back or side pain
  • sneezing
  • tender, swollen glands in the neck
  • tightness in the chest
  • trouble in swallowing
  • voice changes

Rare

  • Chest discomfort
  • difficulty with moving
  • dilated neck veins
  • dry mouth
  • extreme tiredness or weakness
  • flushed, dry skin
  • fruit-like breath odor
  • increased hunger
  • increased thirst
  • loss of consciousness
  • muscle pain or stiffness
  • nausea
  • pain, swelling, or redness in the joints
  • slow or irregular heartbeat
  • stomachache
  • sweating
  • swelling of the face, fingers, feet, or lower legs
  • unexplained weight loss

Incidence not known

  • Blindness
  • blurred vision
  • burning while urinating
  • decrease in the frequency of urination
  • decrease in urine volume
  • difficulty in passing urine (dribbling)
  • dizziness
  • eye pain
  • hives, itching, skin rash
  • large, hive-like swelling on the face, eyelids, lips, tongue, throat, hands, legs, feet, or genitals
  • puffiness or swelling of the eyelids or around the eyes, face, lips, or tongue
  • tearing
  • vomiting

Other side effects of Tudorza Pressair

Some side effects of aclidinium may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects.

Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

Less common

  • Arm, neck, or leg pain
  • back pain
  • belching
  • bruise
  • depression
  • diarrhea
  • feeling of constant movement of self or surroundings
  • heartburn
  • indigestion
  • lightheadedness
  • muscle cramps
  • sensation of spinning
  • stomach discomfort, upset, or pain
  • toothache
  • upper stomach pain

Applies to aclidinium: inhalation powder.

Gastrointestinal

Common (1% to 10%): Diarrhea (2.7%), toothache (1.1%), vomiting (1.1%)

Uncommon (0.1% to 1%): Dry mouth, abdominal discomfort, tooth abscess

Postmarketing reports: Nausea, stomatitis[Ref]

Nervous system

Common (1% to 10%): Headache (6.6%)

Uncommon (0.1% to 1%): Dizziness[Ref]

Other

Common (1% to 10%): Fall (1.1%)

Uncommon (0.1% to 1%): Candidiasis[Ref]

Respiratory

Common (1% to 10%): Nasopharyngitis (5.5%), cough (3%), sinusitis (1.7%), rhinitis (1.6%)

Uncommon (0.1% to 1%): Dysphonia[Ref]

Cardiovascular

Uncommon (0.1% to 1%): First degree AV block, cardiac failure, cardiorespiratory arrest, palpitations

Postmarketing reports: Tachycardia[Ref]

Dermatologic

Uncommon (0.1% to 1%): Rash, pruritus[Ref]

Genitourinary

Uncommon (0.1% to 1%): Urinary retention[Ref]

Metabolic

Uncommon (0.1% to 1%): Diabetes mellitus (less than 1%)[Ref]

Musculoskeletal

Uncommon (0.1% to 1%): Osteoarthritis (less than 1%)[Ref]

Ocular

Uncommon (0.1% to 1%): Blurred vision[Ref]

Hypersensitivity

Postmarketing reports: Immediate hypersensitivity reactions, including anaphylaxis, angioedema (including swelling of the lips, tongue, or throat), urticaria, rash, bronchospasm, itching[Ref]
