Usual Adult Dose for Intraocular Hypertension

One drop in the affected eye(s) once a day in the evening

Comments:

• If more than one topical ophthalmic drug is being used, the other drugs should be administered at least 5 minutes apart.
• This drug should not be administered more than once a day as more frequent administration of prostaglandin analogs may decrease the intraocular pressure lowering.
• Reduction of the intraocular pressure starts approximately 4 hours after first administration, with maximum effect reached within approximately 8 to 12 hours.

Use: Reduction of elevated intraocular pressure in patients with open angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension

CONTRAINDICATIONS:

• Hypersensitivity to the active component or to any of the ingredients

Administration advice:

• Do not touch dropper tip to any surface.

Storage requirements:

• Store below 25 C
• To avoid contamination of the solution, keep container tightly closed when not in use.
• Discard contents of multi-use formulations 4 weeks after opening the bottle; single-use formulations should be discarded after opening.

Patient advice:

• Patients should be instructed to wipe off any excess solution from the skin to reduce the risk of darkening of the eyelid skin.
• In order to minimize systemic absorption, patients should be instructed to apply pressure to the tear duct immediately following administration of the drug.
