Precautions
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
- Patients with a history of hypersensitivity reaction to benzoyl peroxide or any components.
Safety and efficacy have not been established in patients younger than 9 years.
Consult WARNINGS section for additional precautions.

Administration advice:
- This drug is for topical use only.
- Advise patients to wash hands immediately after application.
- Avoid contact with the eyes, lips, paranasal creases, and mucous membranes.
Storage requirements:
- Refrigerate at 2C to 8C (36F to 46F) until dispensed to the patient.
- Store at room temperature 20C to 25C (68F to 77F) after dispensed.
- Discard 12 weeks after date of dispensing or 30 days after first opening, whichever is sooner.
- Do not freeze.
Monitoring:
- Excessive skin irritation
- Sunburns/increased photosensitivity
Patient advice:
- Advice patients on using appropriate sun protection while on therapy.
- Instruct patients to wash the affected area with a mild, non-medicated soap and pat the area dry before application.
- Inform patients that the product may bleach hair or colored fabric.
- Instruct patients to store at room temperature and to discard 12 weeks after date of dispensing or 30 days after first opening, whichever is sooner.
- Advise the patient to use a moisturizer for irritation.
- instruct patient to discontinue treatment immediately and seek medical help in case of serious hypersensitivity reaction.
- Advise patients to minimize unprotected exposure to sunlight and sunlamps.
