• If you are allergic to dimenhydrinate injection; any part of dimenhydrinate injection; or any other drugs, foods, or substances. Tell your doctor about the allergy and what signs you had.
• If you are breast-feeding or plan to breast-feed.
• If the patient is a newborn or infant. This medicine has benzyl alcohol in it. Benzyl alcohol may cause severe and sometimes deadly side effects in newborns or infants. Do not give dimenhydrinate injection to a newborn or infant.

• If you are allergic to tartrazine, talk with your doctor. Some products have tartrazine.

• Talk with your doctor before you use other drugs and natural products that slow your actions.
• If you are 65 or older, use dimenhydrinate injection with care. You could have more side effects.
• Use with care in children. Talk with the doctor.
• Talk with the doctor before giving dimenhydrinate injection to a child younger than 2 years of age.
• Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan on getting pregnant. You will need to talk about the benefits and risks of using dimenhydrinate injection while you are pregnant.

• Signs of an allergic reaction, like rash; hives; itching; red, swollen, blistered, or peeling skin with or without fever; wheezing; tightness in the chest or throat; trouble breathing, swallowing, or talking; unusual hoarseness; or swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue, or throat.
• Trouble passing urine.
• Pain when passing urine.
• A fast heartbeat.
• Blurred eyesight.
• Restlessness.

• Dizziness.
• Feeling sleepy.

• Thickening of mucus in nose or throat.
• Feeling nervous and excitable.

• Feeling tired or weak.
