Malignant Pleural Effusion is a condition where cancer spreads in to the pleural cavity, the space between the lung and the chest wall, and causes fluid to collect in these spaces. As fluid accumulates, it displaces the lung and compromises its function, making patients feel short of breath or experience chest pain.
