Usual Adult Dose for Ischemic Stroke - Prophylaxis
Aspirin 25 mg-Dipyridamole 200 mg orally twice a day
Comments: If intolerable headaches occur during initial treatment, switch to aspirin 25 mg-dipyridamole 200 mg orally at bedtime and low-dose aspirin in the morning; return to usual regimen as soon as possible, usually within 1 week.
Use: To reduce the risk of stroke in patients who have had transient ischemia of the brain or complete ischemic stroke due to thrombosis.

Mild to moderate liver dysfunction: No adjustment recommended

Administration advice:
If a dose is missed, patients should continue with the next regularly scheduled dose.
This drug is not interchangeable with the individual components.
General: The amount of aspirin in this product may not provide adequate treatment for certain cardiovascular indications.
Monitoring:
Gastrointestinal: Signs of ulceration and bleeding
Patient advice:
Inform patients of the bleeding risk, including intracranial and gastrointestinal bleeding.
Inform patients about signs and symptoms of bleeding, including occult bleeding.
Counsel patients who consume three or more alcoholic drinks every day about the bleeding risks involved with chronic, heavy alcohol use while taking aspirin.
If this drug is used during pregnancy, or if the patient becomes pregnant while taking this drug, the patient should be apprised of the potential harm to the fetus.
Tell patients to contact their physician if they experience intolerable headaches.
Instruct patients who are scheduled to undergo a pharmacologic stress test to tell their healthcare provider that they are taking this drug.
