Dr. Justin Laube is a Minnesota native who graduated with a bachelor of science degree in biology from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, and a doctor of medicine degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis. During medical school, he completed a graduate certificate in integrative therapies and healing practices through the Center for Spirituality and Healing. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA) in their primary care track, and a fellowship in integrative East-West primary care at the UCLA Center for East-West Medicine. He is board certified in both internal and integrative medicine and is also an esteemed member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society.
Dr. Laube was previously a faculty physician and assistant clinical professor at the UCLA Center for East-West Medicine (CEWM) in Santa Monica and the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He also held the position of fellowship director and was an educational leader at CEWM, where he taught physician fellows, residents, and medical students about integrative medicine and healing. He continues to teach medical students at UCLA while on a personal and professional sabbatical, exploring the relationship between trauma, disease, and the process of healing.
His clinical and academic interests are in integrative and holistic medicine, motivational interviewing, psychosomatic medicine, mindfulness meditation, traditional Chinese medicine and other healing practices, and holistic nutrition.
